Creative Editor
In-person | Nashville, TN
$50k+ starting salary + healthcare benefits
About the Role
Industry Plant is hiring a full-time Creative Editor to help bring artist content to life through clean editing, compelling color grading, and eye-catching graphic elements. If you’re an entry-level creative who knows your way around Premiere Pro and Photoshop — and love making content look great — we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
Edit social-first content: Basic timeline edits for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. You'll clip footage, grade it, add text, and apply branded elements.
Color grade video content: This is the most critical skill. You'll be responsible for making raw footage look polished and professional across a wide variety of shoots.
Design simple graphics and titles: Apply text animations and basic motion design where needed. Create simple, clean social graphics that match artist branding.
Collaborate with creative leads: Work directly with our Creative Director to bring content ideas to life. You’ll get clear direction — but we value your creative input too.
What We’re Looking For
Strong understanding of color grading and color composition
Basic editing skills — comfortable assembling and trimming footage
Basic motion design and text animation skills (Premiere required, After Effects a plus)
Solid graphic design eye — you know what looks good on social
Comfortable using Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator (After Effects a plus)
Organized, reliable, and able to meet two-plus week ahead content deadlines (with occasional fast turns)
Ability to take direction while bringing your own creative thinking
Interest in music and artist branding
Who You Are
Recent grad, self-taught creator, or junior pro — we care more about your work than your resume
Passionate about creative storytelling in music
Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment
Excited to grow as an editor and designer alongside an experienced creative team
About Industry Plant
Industry Plant is a creative agency helping artists build worlds around their music — immersive brands rooted in emotional resonance, not just aesthetics.
Founded by Dustin Boyer (formerly of Venture Music), Industry Plant exists to challenge the way music marketing is done. Where most agencies chase streams and follower counts, we go deeper: uncovering the “why” behind an artist’s appeal and building content, brand systems, and strategy around that core.
We work closely with artists and their teams to develop brand identities that reflect the real psychological and cultural value of their music — whether that’s catharsis, self-expression, spectacle, or connection. Then we turn that clarity into strategy: visuals, messaging, social content, and audience development that actually resonates.
Our roster spans rising and established talent across all genres. We’re hands-on, collaborative, and embedded in the creative process.
